Being a District High School means we cater for students from Kindergarten (4 Year olds) through to Secondary schooling (Year 12).
Primary students are provided with the opportunity to participate in specialist subjects, in addition to core learning areas English, Maths, Science and Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), these specialist subjects are Art, STEM and Health and Physical Education. All specialist subjects are taught by a specialist teacher, with specialist qualifications. Students in Years 3 – Year 6 also learn a language, that being Indonesian, via the School of Isolated Distance Education (SIDE).
In the Secondary area of our school we have students in Years 7 to 10, who are catered for via specialist teachers, provided by the school, and Year 11 and Year 12 students who opt to continue their course of study via the School of Isolated Distance Education (SIDE). We currently operate three year levels as follows:
- Year 7
- Year 8
- Year 9/10
Our Secondary students participate in mandated core subjects, English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), and Health and Physical Education, and are most fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in two electives subjects. Elective subjects vary depending on the specialist staff we have available but typically include:
